HI, I am new at this chat room stuff. unsure.gif I am needing help suggestions/hints on choosing which field I would like to get invovled in after I have graduated. I am an LPN working in the office setting on a PRN basis right now and I like it alot. I would like to get more involved in the OB or pediatric area if there is anyone out there in either of those fields I would appreciate your help or any any other field for that matter.
I am having to enter this message for a class that I am taking and the response will be seen by my instructor too. FYI to all of you. Thank you for all who respond. LPN03/student RN smile.gif

I really enjoy working with developmentally disabled in a cila program. They live in group homes and need medical support and supervision, as well as an RN trainer to teach the caregivers on medication dispensing, and monitor medical and psych conditions, communicate with physicians, arrange care, etc.
These people are very rewarding to work with.
I suggest a non for profit agency, such as something connected to LSS, or CSS, as an avenue to check into services in the area for DD adults. They really are great, and there is certainly never a dull moment!
