ohmy.gif I am a New LPN in the Birmingham, Alabama area. I have passed the boards (August 2004) and I have been applying in local hospitals for the past two to three weeks. I am 42 years old and I was an office manager for 20 years and went back to school after my kids graduated. I have had no calls for interviews? how long does it usually take? what have I done wrong? I really wanted the med surg experience. I was planning to return to school in March for my RN's and wanted to have some experience and be able to travel after I received my RN's. Am I taking the right track.....is it that I'm just anxious......I need a job but I dont want to take a job in the nursing home if there is an opportunity I can get my experience started? Any advise appreciated.....
