Hi, I haven't used this site before, I have 91 days until I graduate. I want to know more about how to go about completing a short trial travel nurse position and how to a find a reliable agency to work with and a great place to go to. I'd appreciate if someone with expe[FONT=Arial]rince could give me a few pointers. cool.gif

Hey,

I'm a new traveler on my first assignment and I'm loving it right now! But I'm sure you probably know by now, you need at least a year of nursing experience before you can become a traveler, cuz you have to hit the floor running! Good Luck!

hey misty, yes its true you need at least a year for a travel company to hire you. that being said, you probably won't be able to go to hawaii on just 1 year's experience. companies take travelers with 1 yrs exp to the most under-staffed places, and hawaii is not one of those. i was a staff RN for 2 yrs and then did 3 yrs of travel (my last assignment was in honolulu). its important to feel competent on your own and know the basics before venturing to a new city. take care..
