What's a weekend differential? lol! We have nothing of the sort at my hospital. Only shift differential.

My hospital starts at 7p.m Fri. and goes until 7 a.m. Mon. It is a 15% shift diff. Talking with some of the traveling nurses, they said it is really good compared to some of the other hospitals they've been assigned to.

Our weekend is 11pm Fri until 11pm Sun....however on our unit your weekend is considered all 3 days and you cannot ask for any of those off. Housewide though you can ask for the shifts around the weekend off: Frid pms, Sun noc. I work straight nights and it is always a $1 more shift differential. Pitiful when you know night shift workers supposedly die sooner.

Our weekend diff is from Friday at 3PM. But we have weekend options that pay $6.00 more per hour for either Friday, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon. That also incluses the weekend diff which is 2.80 more per hour. I work Fri, Sat, Sun

Friday 7pm through Monday 7am. $3.00 an hour for RN's. LVN's only get a little more than half that. (I think $1.90 or something like that.) OK for the RN's, but seems unfair to the LVN's. They're still going through the same inconvenience, and they already get paid less anyway, so what's the harm in giving the same shift diff!
