I am going to undertake two 3 month Travel assignments in Honolulu starting in November, working as an ER Nurse. Can anyone advise on the need to own a Car for transportation in Honolulu, as I know I can transport my car to Hawaii for about $1000 from California?

I have heard that it is easy to get around but what about if I start work at 11Pm at night, where a car would seem to be the wise choice? Are bicycles another feasible way to move around the island?

Any other general advice about Travel Nursing in Hawaii from anyone who has done this before is greatly appreciated
