I have been a med-surge nurse for 3 1/2 years. I have been wanting to train as an ICU nurse for some time, and now, I think I've finally landed my first job. I am looking for tips. What should I study? Are there any good study references. What should I watch out for? What do I need to do to protect myself? What can I expect? What kind of pay should I expect as both a newbie and once I'm trained? How long does it take to become comfortable? Thanks!
