Please excuse me if this seems to ramble on but I really want to become a nurse and have gotten frustrated with the different routes that are availble to take and would love some advice.
History: I received my Bachelor's in Athletic Training from Purdue University in 1999 but never practiced in the field due to becoming pregnant (unexpectedly) with my first son. I have re-taken some classes since then but now want to pursue my nursing degree. I have 3 sons and am married to a US Marine and live on Camp Pendleton (Oceanside, CA).
I am curious if anyone went to National University to get their RN? Any opinions about it?
I am currently undecided about going there because I need to have a letter of recommendation because of my degree and they want me to use one of my Purdue professors (they being the academic advisor). I am uncomfortable with that because that was 7 years ago and a lot has changed (ok, I slept through some of my AT classes near the end, I was just burnt out). I would really like my most recent boss to write it for me but the advisor said I should go with Purdue. I don't know if that is really the right path to take but would hate to not get in on that alone..
Anyone else a second bachelors student going for nursing, what paths are you taking, any advice? I honestly wish I had just chosen nursing the first time around!
Thanks!
Kristin

Hi Kristin
I am also thinking of applying to National University, but am having a bear of a time with my personal statement. I dont know what they are looking for and Im afraid if I say the wrong thing, I wont be admitted. Have you had any luck finding someone who is attending or has attended that school for advice.
