I have an ethics paper due and am having problems finding credible research evidance. I wanted to do my paper on the unjustified over-use of chemicals (pharmacuticals) on hospital patients as a means of convience = chemical restraint. As I understand it, the use of sedatives to control behavior that is not due to a diagnosed medical condition is therefore termed chemical restraint - which violates the patients rights.
I've researched this for weeks on the internet, but can not find verifiable documentation as to this happening, just that it does ... and don't do it. Any help on this topic or suggestions on something else alltogether would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
