Success stems from hard work, devotion, and the ability to learn from one's mistakes.

Hi NAWLINSGIRL !

Italy is a country with very different sights, depending on where you are.

If you want to work there, you need some special things - the most important thing is very good knowledge of the italian language.
English is known, but they donīt use it very often (this is not be generalized)

In Italy there are agencies, responsible for "Work-searchers".
You have to subscribe a "placement list" to subscribe this list, you need some documents like a "family certificate", your study-certificate and a translated version of your certificates.

Here you can get more information :

Ministerio del Lavoro
Direzione Generale per l`Impiego
Via Flavia 6
I-00187 Rom

Tel .: 0039 - 0647887232
http://www.europalavoro.it

You have to ask for validation or acknowledgement of your certificate.
This is possible here :
Ministero coordinamente politiche communitarie
Via Giardino Theodoli 66
I 00186 Rom

Tel.: 0039 - 0667795322

I hope, that is understandable

Greetings

Dirk

Hi! Dirk, I hope you are still checking this board.

I am still in nursing school and will graduate in a year. I am interested in going to Germany and Switzerland after I graduate. How do I find a job over there? How many years of experience do I need? I already have a degree in Medical Technologist and nursing is my second degree. I have been working in the hospital for more than 10 years.

Thank you!

Gigi

Hello Gigi !

Yes - I am reading here, and hope, that I can help you with that.

First of all - language ?!
Do you know any german ? I think it is very important to speak some german, before thinking to come here.

The second question is, "is your education compareable with the education here". Mostly we can answer with YES, but keep in mind.
Why do you want to come here ?

If you know some german, you can check out my german discussion board www.pflegedialog.de.
Here I have started to write down some information, how to get to switzerland - to work there.

Greetings

Dirk
